Domino’s launch Pizza by Txt in the UK
Altaine first in the UK txt messaging market
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM. – 30 July, 2007. In what is believed to be a first for the UK market, Domino’s Pizza Group (Domino’s) customers can now quickly and easily order their favourite pizzas by txt message.
Domino’s customers register to use Pizza by Txt at www.dominos.co.uk, where they can set up any number of favourite orders and allocate a personalised txt name (keyword) to each one. To place a subsequent order all a customer needs to do is txt their keyword to Domino’s short code - 61212.
Altaine’s txt ordering solution was implemented by Domino’s to provide the Pizza by Txt service. The Altaine solution automates the entire txt order process and also intelligently manages; delivery locations, incorrect keywords, mobile numbers not registered and payment authorizations. Tight integration with Domino’s existing order management system leverages the existing infrastructure to ensure orders get to the stores on time.
