TxtCentre announced as a finalist in Westpac New Zealand Hi Tech Excellence Awards

TxtCentre selected as a finalist in the hotly contested Most Innovative Product of the Year Category.

AUCKLAND, NZ.– November 18, 2003 - TxtCentre Ltd announced today that it was selected as a finalist in this year’s Westpac New Zealand Hi Tech Excellence Awards, in the Most Innovative Product of the Year category. This particular category was the most widely contested and TxtCentre was selected as one of only three finalists.

In order to gain selection TxtCentre had to demonstrate the delivery to market of an innovative product in less than two years with a well planned and well executed business strategy. TxtCentre clearly achieved these requirements as well as gaining patent protection for the intellectual property comprising the solution and establishing a strong market position.

The Judges commented "TxtCentre has used mobile phone txting capability to extend the capability of call centre and self service applications. The company spotted a niche market and developed a product to fit it using existing technologies. The judges were impressed with the clear commercialization path".
